“From the garden at the back, I don’t know why we called it the orchard, a fig tree grew majestically.” “At the foot of this fig tree, there were piles of stones that must have been leftover from the construction of the monument, old bricks, and construction debris from work that had been done on the house, which my grandfather kept, because, he said, they might be useful someday.” (Mercè Rodoreda, neighbor from the Farró)
16001 MONLes Mont-Rogenques - 17010 TORTorrelletes
This project proposes the construction of three collective housing buildings in Torrelletes, an area immersed in a vineyard landscape. The main floor is organized in five identical rectangular modules that are arranged in sequence, thus creating two gardens at the ends. This design generates an outdoor space where the vegetation is harmoniously integrated, enriching the surroundings and establishing a fluid transition between indoors and outdoors. In this way, traditional boundaries are blurred, promoting a living experience in harmony with nature.
17010 TORTorrelletes - 17012 TDFTemps de Flors
“El guapo d’en Narcís” is an ephemeral installation for Girona Temps de Flors that aims to rediscover the spatial qualities of the place, promote cross perspectives, and create a game board based on the aesthetic experience of reflection.
17012 TDFTemps de Flors - 19028 PRLParal·lel
The project aims to highlight the housing typology of the Eixample. Its main objective is to recover and improve the quality of the central space, which generally consists of long corridors with insufficient lighting.
19028 PRLParal·lel - 19032 KEOKeonn
The project focuses on enhancing the original structure of the factory, a large concrete building with skylights and an open-plan design. The restoration and transformation process involved a thorough review of the modifications made in the 1990s, with the goal of reclaiming the factory’s intrinsic value. Each intervention was carried out discreetly, without competing with the original architecture, and focused on preserving its essence and authenticity.
19032 KEOKeonn - 20038 BCCBasecamps Cerdanya Masterplan
In the heart of Cerdanya, a landscape shaped by the interaction between humans and nature, Basecamps Cerdanya stands as a testament to balance. Located in Queixans, this space lies in a region where traditional water channeling structures have defined the landscape and enabled harmonious coexistence between agriculture and abundant rainfall.
In contrast to traditional repetitive plots, the proposal introduces an organic design guided by hydrological management strategies: the terrain’s topography and water runoff dictate the distribution of elements. The privacy of each plot is achieved through native plantings that naturally integrate with the landscape.20038 BCCBasecamps Cerdanya Masterplan - 20040 POLPollancres
The project focuses on an ambitious redefinition of the housing typology in La Floresta, doing this through an approach that seeks a common language for all of them. The rehabilitation is a thorough process that pays special attention to the facade with the aim of restoring and preserving its original appearance, thus contributing to the preservation of the architectural character of the neighborhood.
20040 POLPollancres - 21046 PIGPigalle
The main objective of the Pigalle oven is to highlight the historical footprint of the old city of Mahón. In this restoration work, the layers added in previous stages have been removed, allowing the rich heritage behind these centuries-old walls to be discovered.
21046 PIGPigalle - 21058 ALCAlcoi
The project, which won the competition to design social housing in Alcoi, has an integral and ambitious social focus. At its core, it focuses on creating flexible and open housing units with a design that eliminates the presence of hallways. This architectural layout promotes communication between different areas and, in turn, provides a unique opportunity to revitalize a neglected neighborhood.
21058 ALCAlcoi - 21052 MINCan Mingrat
This rehabilitation project aims at the architectural intervention in three historic houses located in the old town of Premià de Dalt, built in the early twentieth century. The houses, which had been modified over time, have been unified into a single modern residence that preserves the original character. The intervention focuses on restoring the architectural elements that define the identity of the houses, respecting the original volumes and eliminating unnecessary additions. The rehabilitation seeks to harmonize the old with the new, preserving the traces of the past while modernizing the space for comfortable living. The facade is carefully rehabilitated, maintaining the original ornamental details and eliminating elements that no longer contribute to the aesthetics or functionality. In the interior, a minimalist design is adopted with large and bright volumes, favoring the circulation and integration of spaces. The materials, such as natural woods and stone, create a cozy and serene atmosphere. The architecture is presented as a discreet framework that enhances everyday life, combining original elements with modern technologies. Thus, the project not only restores the house, but creates a place where history and modernity are integrated in a respectful and harmonious way.
21052 MINCan Mingrat - XXXXX LBVHousing laboratory
The “Housing Lab” addresses the creation of residential environments through an innovative and sustainable approach, where flexibility in spatial layout and integration of collective space are key. The proposed projects explore the maximization of urban permeability, bioclimatic orientation and energy efficiency, seeking a harmonious relationship between the private and the communal. The volumetric solutions respond to the urban context, promoting a respectful densification that favors social interaction and well-being. Each proposal seeks to integrate shared and versatile spaces, enhancing environmental sustainability and the quality of life of the residents.
