Estudi Biga

Estudi Biga is a cooperative of architects founded in 2018 and based in Barcelona with a multidisciplinary team. The diversity of visions makes it an eclectic studio, where the fundamentals of architectural practice are questioned and thus a synergy is established between new ways of inhabiting, a materiality based on sustainability and contemporary design.

Story
Narration and exposition of past events worthy of remembrance; the past and the roots, the material experience and time materialized.
Lugar
Real or imaginary space in which something is situated, the importance of roots as a backdrop and as an active subject of the project.
Vernacular
What is one’s own. Respect, identity, an image created over time as a characteristic value in historical development.
Sustainability
Enduring over time without depleting resources or causing significant harm to the environment; intrinsic to the dynamics of creation and a fundamental pillar in the development of living spaces.
Regeneration
Partial or total recovery of what is damaged. Protection of the vernacular, which is extended and developed as a restored value.
