This rehabilitation project aims at the architectural intervention in three historic houses located in the old town of Premià de Dalt, built in the early twentieth century. The houses, which had been modified over time, have been unified into a single modern residence that preserves the original character. The intervention focuses on restoring the architectural elements that define the identity of the houses, respecting the original volumes and eliminating unnecessary additions. The rehabilitation seeks to harmonize the old with the new, preserving the traces of the past while modernizing the space for comfortable living. The facade is carefully rehabilitated, maintaining the original ornamental details and eliminating elements that no longer contribute to the aesthetics or functionality. In the interior, a minimalist design is adopted with large and bright volumes, favoring the circulation and integration of spaces. The materials, such as natural woods and stone, create a cozy and serene atmosphere. The architecture is presented as a discreet framework that enhances everyday life, combining original elements with modern technologies. Thus, the project not only restores the house, but creates a place where history and modernity are integrated in a respectful and harmonious way.

This rehabilitation project primarily focuses on the architectural intervention of three historic homes, originally built in the early 20th century, located in the old town of Premià de Dalt. These homes, which have undergone various modifications over the years, have been unified into a single contemporary residence that retains the essence and character of the original constructions.
The intervention is guided by the principle of restoring and enhancing the architectural elements that define the identity of the homes, respecting the integrity of the original volumes and removing unnecessary additions that had altered their original layout.
The approach to the rehabilitation seeks harmony between the old and the new, delicately intervening to preserve the marks of time while providing the necessary conditions for modern and comfortable living. The façade, carefully preserved and rehabilitated, stands as a reflection of the site’s history, with ornamental details meticulously restored, while elements that no longer contribute to the ensemble’s aesthetics or functionality are removed.
In this way, the intervention becomes a process of rescuing the architectural memory of the building, aiming to restore its splendor and authenticity.

In the interior, the design moves away from any decorative excess, adopting a minimalist aesthetic that emphasizes the purity of forms and the luminosity of the spaces. The interior volumes are spacious and fluid, favoring circulation and the integration of the different rooms, thus facilitating a sense of continuity and openness. The palette of materials selected, which includes natural woods, stone and discreet metallic elements, contributes to the creation of a welcoming and serene environment, perfectly suited to the needs of contemporary inhabitants. The architecture as a whole presents itself as a discreet framework that enhances everyday life, allowing the essence of the place to be kept alive and the experience of inhabiting this space to be unique and enriching. The original structural elements are combined with modern technologies that optimize comfort, without interfering with the historic character of the building. Thus, the rehabilitation not only aims to restore a house, but also to create a place where history, modernity and functionality are harmoniously and respectfully intertwined.
